In 2005, Nor-Cal Beverage Co. decided to launch its own Go Girl Sugar-Free Energy Drink line. In 2007, the board decided to sell its Cadbury Schweppes bottling and distribution rights so that the company could retool to increase its contract manufacturing capabilities. This decision brought the ground-up renovation of Nor-Cal’s West Sacramento facility. The project added two hot-fill lines and one for hot or cold filling.
